Visit a Festival
When you plan your trip, check out Sydney's festival schedule. There are festivals held throughout the year, including food fairs, music festivals, art shows, and more. Some of the festivals are free, and plenty are kid friendly. Others will give you a consider Australian culture or the country's unique wildlife. While the big tourist attractions are a great way to make memories in Sydney, joining in the local festivities will give you a close-up experience of the country that you won't get anywhere else.
Considered to be one of the world's most beautiful harbors, Sydney Harbor offers stunning views and fun water activities. Take a cruise, tour Goat Island, or go sailing on the historic Discovery ship. There are plenty of restaurants to pick from, as well as tourist shops and photo opportunities of the Opera House, Harbor Bridge, and the ocean. Climb the Sydney Harbor Bridge and get a breathtaking view of the harbor and city at a vantage point that will make for great photos. Bondi to Coogee Beach
If you're an outdoor person, you must include the Bondi to Coogee Beach hike. The trail takes you along a cliff trail, with beautiful scenery and views of the ocean. The hike is fairly easy, although there are rougher sections that aren't wheelchair accessible. There are a few coffee stops along the way, and you can take a dip in the ocean or rock pools that are scattered along the trail. You can take public transportation to reach the start of the trail, and take it back when you finish the hike.

If you have an appreciation for architecture, then book a tour of the opera house. The structure has an interesting history, and the interior is just as beautiful as the exterior. If you're an opera fan, buy tickets to a show. The opera house offers a variety of performances, including symphonies, cabaret, and of course, opera. Give yourself a night out in Sydney that you won't forget.
Sydney hosts two great art museums that will appeal to any art lover. The Art Gallery of New South Wales offers a classic selection of art, while the Museum of Contemporary Art features new pieces that while inspire and offer a thought provoking experience. Take a Class
Another way to make your trip to Sydney unforgettable is to mix the tourist activities with other activities. While you're there, take a class and try something that you wouldn't be able to do at home. Try your hand at circus arts at the Sydney Trapeze School, or take a cooking class at the Sydney Cooking School. Sydney is a large city, with a population of over four million, which means there are a variety of classes that only large cities have. Taking a class also gives you a chance to get hands on with something, and gives you a break from all the sightseeing, so that the locations you do visit don't all blur together.
