Whether you’re looking to sip a classy cocktail or peruse an extensive wine list, Perth now has a drinking establishment to suit every taste. Read on for five of the best bars in Perth to visit next time you’re in town.
If you stay in a hotel in the centre of Perth then your first stop for a night out should be nearby Greenhouse. An eco-friendly bar and restaurant in the Perth CBD that combines sustainability with style, Greenhouse is a contemporary space that provides customers with a feast for the senses. While the business is rated highly for its fresh, seasonal food with a conscience, beyond the Asian food flavours lies a wonderful bar offering. Paul Aron, the restaurant’s manager and a cocktail professional, was previously a head bartender at various notable establishments around Australia and has brought his knowledge and enthusiasm with him to his role at Greenhouse. Customers looking for a night out can enjoy cocktails and a hip, easy-going vibe at the rooftop bar while they admire the restaurant’s garden that provides fresh produce for the kitchen. In keeping with the fact that every element of the building’s design is made to be easy on the earth, not just the eyes, Greenhouse’s bar top is actually made from recycled plywood taken from the floor of a previous Melbourne pop-up restaurant. Similarly, the ice buckets at Greenhouse are made from old gas cylinders while the light shades have been constructed from recycled fencing wire.
