The Magnificent Kruger National Park
Thanks to the availability of cheap flights to South Africa hasn’t been this much fun and easy. The country has a lot to offer for its travelers owing to its rich history along with the scenic natural beauty. The people are friendly and the weather is kind, making South Africa one of the best places to visit for tourism. One of the greatest attractions of South Africa is its wildlife. Tourists from all over the World travel to South Africa to see wildlife in their natural habitat. Watching the different species of animals that may not be there from where one comes from is an exciting feat for tourists. That is exactly what the Kruger National Park has to offer for its travellers.

Located in the Limpopo Province, the Kruger National Park is one of the largest parks in the World. Its approximately the size of Israel and is filled with tracts of acacia, sycamore figs and Bushwillow. The park also contains open savannah, rushing rivers and the occasional rocky bluff. However, it’s the wildlife that makes the park exciting. The Kruger is filled with Lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and black rhinos. Cheetahs, giraffes and hippos are also present in vast quantities along with species of other animals. The Kruger is known for its safari and the sheer amount and species of animals. The Park is well maintained by the authorities and littering is strictly prohibited. The animals are dangerous but there’s always a proper trainer and animal controller present with each animal to avoid any unnecessary confrontations. The park has a widespread network of metaled roads and camps, which are sealed off. However, for the thrill seekers, there are 4WD tracks, along with mountain bike and hiking trails. Even when you stick to the tarmac, the sounds and scents of the bush are never more than a few metres away.

The Park is also very safe. The authorities have made it possible to cordon off the dangerous areas of the park and the animals are kept under constant supervision. The guards and other personnel are on call 24/7 for any inquiries and emergency and are equipped with latest instruments to deal with any violent wildlife.Apart from long weekends or school holidays, and areas to the north of Phalaborwa Gate and alongside gravel roads, the traffic is scarce, and one can travel for hours without seeing another vehicle. The tourists seem to like the southern part of the park the most owing to the high density of wildlife there. It is also the most developed part of the park with ease of access to almost everything. However, for nature lowers, the northern part of Kruger has much more to offer. The animals are less densely populated as compared to the southern part, but the wilderness atmosphere and the greenery is a good sight for sore eyes.
