Going for a drive on the Sunshine Coast is always a great day out, especially when you come across places that take your breath away. The other day was one of those moments, when we went for a drive and had no idea what we were going to find.

The Moment We Discovered Wappa Falls
We had a few friends tell us how gorgeous Wappa Falls were...yet we didnt realise until we got there how gorgeous it was going to be. We drove around the car park - and were so amazed with how green, and how beauiful the place was. It is located outside of Nambour, before Yandina.

As you drive along to Wappa Falls you will see (on your right hand side) Wappa Falls Observatory and along the same road is Maranatha Camp....a camp that suitable for schools as they are known for their team building activities.

The entrance gate to Wappa Falls has a sign that will inform you what times they are open and closed, and what is allowed into the park (with dogs etc).

There is a walking track, a big dam that is great for fishing, a playground with swings and flying fox plus many birds and wildlife that comes alive with the singing of nature. The place is so so green, very well looked after and has a feeling of calm that will put you at ease within moments.

If you do want a place to relax, and let the children run wild in a safe environment then Wappa Falls needs to be added to your places to visit as you travel around Australia! There is water surrounding the park land, so if you do have little ones then you will need to keep an eye on them.

The playground is situated up on the hill which means that you have the most gorgeous view over the landscape. There is also a wall that was painted by the local children, with pictures of wildlife/animals. The details of the painted wall tells a story itself.

The afternoon can easily slip away as you relax at Wappa Falls, surrounded by wildlife, birds that sing a song of love, and as you sit and watch the children playing, you soon forget where you are and what time of the day it is! The only thing that I highly recommend is that you arrive early so that you can spend as long as you like!

Cheers
