Brisbane, Far from Boring! Visit its Top Attractions!

Brisbane has been attacked! Travellers need to learn what the River City is made of. According to Brisbane newspaper the Courier Mail, Anthony Hayes, the Chief Executive of the Queensland Tourism Industry Council, has criticised Brisbane for its lack of permanent tourist attractions.

It is Hayes’ belief that, beyond events, Brisbane doesn’t offer tourists enough reason to visit. Former Brisbane Lord Mayor Jim Soorley disagrees that Brisbane is a boring city, but admits it needs to be better marketed. We want to help.

Brisbane has spent a lot of time and resources into redefining itself, now fitting the structure and style of a “new world city.” It is a diverse, dynamic, and creative city—and there is plenty to do and see.

To see some of its history, you may visit Brisbane’s oldest building, the Windmill, built in 1828. Also, see the city’s Parliament House, City Hall, Cathedral Square, the Conrad Treasury Hotel, and Anzac Square.

Further, experience the city’s diversity by travelling through its many different precincts, such as Chinatown, Fortitude Valley, and Queen Street.

Lastly, enjoy Brisbane’s natural attractions such as the Botanic Gardens, Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and the Brisbane River, as well as its built attractions such as the Captain Cook Bridge, Story Bridge, and Wheel of Brisbane.

You can see all of these sights, take a scenic cruise on the Brisbane River, and enjoy panoramic 360 degree views of the city on a Wheel of Brisbane ride by purchasing the Brisbane City with River Cruise and Wheel of Brisbane package.

There are also spectacular ecological tours, such as day trips to Tangalooma Island and Moreton Island.

Tourists with a sense of adventure may enjoy the Brisbane icon, the Story Bridge, in a unique way. Take two and a half hours to climb the Story Bridge and enjoy panoramic views.

There are many other exciting things to do in Brisbane, such as visiting the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, touring the XXXX Ale House, and whale watching, among many others. To learn more of Brisbane’s attractions and activities, visit ExperienceOz.

It is safe to say that Brisbane is far from boring!
