Day 1 - Arrive Changchun
On arrival
into Changchun and after completing all necessary Customs and
Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays
guide who will transfer you to Maxcourt Hotel or similar where you will
stay two nights. Then you can wander around Chongqinglu Street, which is
one of the busiest streets in Changchun and you will feel the sense of
the Northeastern part of China. (D)
Day 2 - Changchun
Today you will
have a whole day experience of skiing in the Jingyuetan Ski Resort. It
boasts one of the longest skiing slopes in Asia and has been famous for
its excellent natural skiing conditions and its reasonable prices. (The
skiing condition is best during the winter season, so after that period
we'll reschedule to visit Changchun Film City. It is the first film
theme park that is the combination of film industry and tourist
industry, reputed as "the oriental Hollywood". There will also be time
for a visit to The World Sculpture Park and Nanhu Park.) (B/L/D)
Day 3 - Changchun / Dunhua
In 1932
Changchun was the capital of Manchukuo, a Japan-controlled puppet state
in Manchuria. The capital was a well-planned city with broad avenues and
modern public works. Many of buildings built during the Japanese
colonial era still stand today, including the Eight Major Bureaus of
Manchukuo. From 1931 to 1945 China's last emperor Pu Yi was installed as
the Manchukuo government head by the Japanese authority. He resided in
the Imperial Palace which is now the Museum of the Manchu State Imperial
Palace. You will also visit Culture Square. Late in the afternoon you
will be transferrd to Dunhua and check into Dunbai International
Business Hotel for one night. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Dunhua / Changbai Mountain
Today you will
keep on your road trip until arriving on Changbai Mountain. As a dormant
volcano, Changbai Mountain boasts rare animals, marvelous lakes,
amazing hot springs, and forests that stretch to the horizon. Firstly
you will visit the most beautiful part of Changbai Mountain - Tianchi,
or Heavenly Lake. With clouds everywhere, it is like a jade in the sky.
Then a visit to Changbai Waterfall and Underground Forest. Afterwards
you will be transferred to five star The Landscape Resort for your night
and to have a warm bath in the natural hot spring. (B/L/D)
Day 5 - Changbai Mountain / Jilin City
Today you
will be transferred to Jilin City. On arrival you will be transferred to
Century Swissbel Hotel where you will spend one night. Beishan Park has
many interesting features, and is considered an optimum venue for its
summer lotus flowers and winter rimy pines. Then you will visit Longtan
Mountain Deer Farm and Manchu Folk Museum. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Depart Jilin City
Though Jilin is
not outstanding as a tourist city, its name spreads among travelers
nationwide because of the rime. The rime is a kind of phenomenon, in
which winter fog condenses on the branches and leaves of trees to form
separate, white ice crystals, according to metrology. Songjiang Road is a
good place to enjoy the beautiful rime. Before departing, you will
visit the Catholic Church and Century Plaza. Then you will be
transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B/L)
