Day 1 - Arrive Chengdu

On arrival into Chengdu and after completing any necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be meet by your friendly China Holidays tour guide who will transfer you to your hotel where you will overnight. (D)

Day 2 - Chengdu / Bifengxia

This morning you will depart by private vehicle for the trip to the Bifengxia Panda Base which is situated about 8 kilometres from Ya'an City and approximately 160 kilometres from Chengdu. Along the way you will get to see the varying landscapes of the area. You will arrive in Bifengxia around noon and you will be transferred to your hotel. (B/L/D)

Day 3 - Bifengxia Panda Base
Today you start the first of two days working within the Panda Base, assisting to look after the Panda enclosures. The morning period will run from 08:00am to 11:30am and the afternoon session from 2:30pm – 5:00pm. Outside of these periods you are free to observe these gentle giants. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - Bifengxia Panda Base
Today a further day assisting in the base. There will be the opportunity to get to hold an cuddle a baby Panda and get some photos taken, although there is an additional charge for this payable locally. This evening a Thank you dinner with some of the staff from the base. (B/L/D)

Day 5 - Bifengxia / Chengdu
After breakfast this morning you farewell Bifengxia and return by road to Chengdu. Here you will get to visit Jinli Old Street to see some of the hustle and bustle of this city. This evening a western dinner. (B/L/D)

Day 6 - Depart Chengdu
After breakfast, you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide and transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
