Day 1 - Australia / Shanghai

Check in at the airport on your Cathay Pacific/Malaysia Airlines/Thai Airways flight bound for Shanghai. On arrival into Shanghai and after completing all necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to Ramada Plaza Gateway Shanghai or similar where you will stay overnight.

Day 2 - Shanghai
After breakfast
you will depart for a half day tour of Shanghai. Your day will include a
visit to the Yu Gardens, the Old Chinatown and of course the Bund.
There will also be a visit to the impressive Shanghai Museum. After that
you will be transferred to the Cruise Pier. Your cruise departs
Shanghai at 5:00pm today. (B/L/D)
Day 3 - Yangtze Cruise
At 12:00pm you
will have a half day shore excursion of Nanjing, including the Ming
Dynasty City Wall Museum and a Qing Dynasty style bazaar surrounding a
Confucian Temple. You will return to the boat at 6:30pm. (B/L/D)
Day 4 - Yangtze Cruise
You will have a full day shore excursion to Mt Huangshan today, from 7:00am to 5:00pm. (B/L/D)
Day 5 - Yangtze Cruise
This afternoon
at 4:00pm, you will have a short visit to Wuhan where you will visit the
Guqin Terrace before returning to your cruiser at 7:00pm. (B/L/D)
Day 6 - Yangtze Cruise
Sit back and relax today as you continue your journey up the Yangtze River. (B/L/D)
Day 7 - Yangtze Cruise
At 7:30am you
will sail past Yichang, followed by the Gezhou dam from 8:00am to
9:30am. You will visit the Three Gorges Dam site from 1:00pm to 3:30pm,
before entering the ship locks at 4:00pm. At 8:00pm you sail through the
ship locks towards the majestic Three Gorges. (B/L/D)
Day 8 - Yangtze Cruise
This morning you
sail through Wu Gorge, before a 9:00am excursion into Daning River's
Lesser Three Gorges. You will reboard your boat at 2:00pm to sail
through Qutang Gorge. (B/L/D)
Day 9 - Yangtze Cruise
You will visit the Ghost City of Fengdu this morning from 8:30am to 12:00pm, before reboarding the cruiser for lunch. (B/L/D)
Day 10 - Chongqing

Your cruise along the Yangtze River comes to an end today as you disembark at Chongqing at 8:30am. You will be met by China Holidays guide who will transfer you to Wanyou Conifer Chongqing or similar where you will stay two nights. After breakfast, you will have a visit to Erling Park, People's Hall of Chongqing, Three Gorges Museum, Stilwell Museum and Ciqikou Ancient Town. (B/L/D)

Day 11 - Chongqing
We continue our
sightseeing today with a visit to Beishan and Baodingshan, for the
Buddhist cave sculptures. Then you will be transferred back to
Chongqing. (B/L/D)
Day 12 - Depart Chongqing
Today you
farewell Chongqing and China as your guide meets you and transfers you
to the airport for your onward flight. Check in aboard your Cathay
Pacific/Malaysia Airlines/Thai Airways flight bound for Australia. (B)
Day 13 - Arrive Australia
Welcome back to Australia after a fantastic 13 day trip to one of the most fascinating countries on the planet.
