Day 1 - Arrive Xi'an

On arrival into Xi'an and after completing all necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to Days Hotel & Suites Xinxing Xi'an or similar where you will spend two nights. After lunch, you will visit the ancient City Wall which stretches around the old city. It is the most complete city wall survived in China as well as one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. (L/D)

Day 2 - Xi'an
After breakfast you will depart for Xi'an Banpo Ruins. Banpo Ruins is a typical Yellow River Basin of the Yangshao Culture Matriarchal Clan Neolithic Settlement Sites, since between 5600-6700. Then you have the opportunity to experience making Terracotta Warrior by yourself. Afterwards you have a go at making some Chinese dumplings followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit Terracotta Warriors Museum, one of China's top historical sites. Here you will see the magnificent Terracotta Army of Emperor Qin Shi Huang which has been painstakingly restored by archaeologists. In the evening you will get the opportunity to sample a Chinese dumpling banquet and a performance of a Tang Dynasty Cultural Show. (B/L/D)

Day 3 - Xi'an / Yan'an

This morning you will depart for Hukou Waterfall. It is the only yellow waterfall in the world and the second largest waterfall in China. It is naturally formed waterfall when the mighty Yellow River, the mother river of China, flows through Jinxia Grand Canyon on its middle reaches. In the evening you will be transferred to Yan'an and check in Gao Dee Palace Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - Yan'an / Xi'an
This morning you will visit Baota Hill. Baota Hill (Pagoda Hill) gained its name from a 44-meter (144-feet) nine-story pagoda standing at its summit. The Pagoda is the symbol of Yan'an and you will see it as you arrive in Yan'an. Then Zaoyuan Revolutionary Site and Yan'an Revolutionary Memorial Hall. After lunch take the bus back to Xi'an and check in Days Hotel & Suites Xinxing Xi'an or similar where you will spend four nights. (B/L/D)

Day 5 - Xi'an / Baoji / Xi'an

Today you will take the bus to Famen Temple, Baoji. In China, many temples house treasures and artifacts, but the sheer quantity and quality of treasures as in the Famen Temple is rare. It was established in the Eastern Han Dynasty (25--220) with the purpose to carry forward Buddhism. Then visit Qianling Mausoleum. As the unique joint tomb of an Emperor couple or two emperors - Emperor Gaozong and Empress and Emperor Wuzetian of the Tang Dynasty, Qianling Mausoleum is a special practice of building tombs on the Liang Mountaion. It is one of the best preserved tombs among the Tang Dynasty's 18 mausoleums, with other 17 mausoleums as accompanying tombs. The excavated accompanying tombs include Mausoleum of Princess Yongtai, etc. A large number of cultural relics and murals have been discovered and stored in Qianling Mausoleum. Then you will be trasferred back to Xi'an. (B/L/D)

Day 6 - Xi'an / Huashan Mountain / Xi'an
Take the bus to Huashan Mountain. Huashan Mountain lies in the access from great Northwest to the central plain of China and is renowned as the 'most steep and extraordinary mountain in the world. It is made of a huge and complete granite rock mass. You will visit the whole mountain by cable up and down. After the trip you will be tranferred back to Xi'an. (B/L/D)

Day 7 - Xi'an
Your journey today includes Big Wild Goose Pagoda - a well-preserved ancient scenic spot and a holy place for Buddhists, Shannxi History Museum which exhibits primarily historical relics of past dynasties and displays precious art treasures and stone carvings of the Han and Tang dynasties, Bell Tower - the most well-preserved and best-known one among many ancient cities of China, Drum Tower which echoes with the Bell Tower and is half of kilo mile away from each other, but the situations of morning bell and evening drum no longer existed. Nowadays, only the Bell Tower is giving the time. Last but not least is the Great Mosque. It is the largest and one of the most important Islamic mosques in China. With a history of more than 1260 years, the mosque covers an area of 6,000 square meters. It is the only one Mosque that opens to visitors in the country. But non-Muslim visitors are not allowed to enter to the main prayer hall. (B/L/D)

Day 8 - Depart Xi'an
Today you depart Xi'an and China as your guide meets you and transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
