Day 1 - Arrive Changsha

On arrival into Changsha and after completing all necessary Customs and Immigration formalities, you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to Southern Pearl International Hotel or similar where you will spend two nights.

Day 2 - Changsha
You will head out of Changsha to Yueyang, and visit Yueyang Tower, Dongting Lake, Xiao Qiao Tomb. Then you will get the view of Junshan Island, Xiang Fei Temple, 2 Concubines Tomb, Flying Bell and Liu Yi Well. (B/L/D)

Day 3 - Hengshan / Shaoshan

In the morning, you will drive to Hengshan. Here you will visit Nanyue Temple, Wanshou Square, Nanyue Township. After lunch, you will visit the whole mountain by cable up and down, including Ganoderma Spring, Magu Fairyland, Nantian Gate and Zhurong Peak. We will check into Hualong International Hotel where you will spend overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - Shaoshan / Zhangjiajie

Today after visiting Mao Zedong's Former Residence, Statue Square and Memorial Hall, you will leave Shaoshan for the Zhangjiajie Scenic by bus. You will check into Jin Tian International Hotel or similar where you will spend three nights. (B/L/D)

Day 5 - Wulingyuan
Begin your trip with visiting Tianzi Mountain (the Emperor's Mountain, Marshall Helong Park, Imperil Brush Pen Peak) by cable car. Then you can enjoy the Yellow Dragon Cave, a cave full of stalagmites and stalactites in all shapes, plus an underground river flowing through, a rare sight. (B/L/D)

Day 6 - Wulingyuan
You can visit the Yellow Lion Village by cable car up and down, and walk through the Golden Whip Stream. Then you can enjoy the Baofeng Lake on boat. (B/L/D)

Day 7 - Phoenix city

Morning ride to the Phoenix city. In the afternoon, you will visit the ancient city of Phoenix. You will visit Tuo River by raft, while enjoying Miaojia Stilted Houses along the river. Then you take a visit to Shen Congwen's Former Residence, Xiong Xilin's Former Residence,The Ancestral Hall of Yang Family, East Gate Tower, Museum of Ancient City, North Gate Pier and Hongqiao Tower. After dinner you can enjoy the night view of the ancient city of Phoenix. You will check into Phoneix Jiangtian Holiday Village in Phoenix city where you will spend overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 8 - Changsha
In the morning you leave the ancient city of Phoenix and take the bus back Changsha. In the afternoon you will have the opportunity to visit Yuelu Academy, Luyue Mountain, Aiwan Pavilion, the concept of city landscape and scenery along the river to enjoy the Xiangjiang. In the evening, you will check into Southern Pearl International Hotel or similar where you will spend overnight. (B/L/D)

Day 9 - Depart Changsha
In the morning, you can drive to the Hunan Provincial Museum to watch an undecomposed woman's body, wife of Changsha Kingdom's prime minister, which was discovered by archaeologists in Mawangdui Tomb in 1972, along with other Mawangdui Han Dynasty unearthed heritage. In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to your onward flight. (B/L)
