Day 1 - Arrive Guangzhou

On arrival into Guangzhou and after completing all necessary Customs and Immigration formalities you will be met by your friendly China Holidays guide who will transfer you to Guangzhou Landsman Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. After lunch, you will visit the ancient Chen Clan Academy - a traditional Chinese garden showcases the culture of Guangdong Province. The Shamian Island - located on the Pearl River, is a relic of colonial architectures tells the history of Guangzhou City. (L/D)

Day 2 - Guangzhou / Shaoguan
After breakfast
you will depart for Shaoguan. Your day will include a visit to Danxia
Mountain, the first batch of geological parks of the world by UNESCO.
The mountain boasts of the largest scenic area and the most beautiful
scenery of Guangdong. Take the cable up you can overview the whole
scene. The Danxia Landform is nominated for this mountain. It contains
nearly 700 pieces of large red glutenite and many grotto temples. Then
have a leisure cruise along the Jin River. There will be plenty of time
to relax and enjoy the picturesque landscapes. In the evening you will
check in Xihe Liuhua Hotel or similar where you will stay overnight.

Day 3 - Shaoguan / Zhaoqing

This morning you will visit one of the four greatest temples in Guangdong - Nanhua Temple. It is a famous Buddhist site, where the sixth founder of the Buddhism generation in Tang Dynasty (618-907), Hui Neng, established the southern sect of Zen. With a history of 1,500 years, the temple keeps many national treasures, including the Da Zang Sutra, decree and cassock of thousand years ago. After lunch you will take the bus to Zhaoqing and check in Zhaoqing International Grand Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. (B/L/D)

Day 4 - Zhaoqing / Kaiping / Foshan

Today you will depart for Seven Star Crags. It is one of the State's major places of landscape, historic interest and picturesque beauty. Then drive to Kaiping and visit Diaolou in Zili Villiage. Kaiping Diaolou and Villiages feature the Diaolou, multi-storeyed defensive villiage houses, which display a complex and flamboyant fusion of Chinese and Western structural and decorative form. After that take the bus to Foshan and spend the night at Nanhai Huimei Hotel of similar. (B/L/D)

Day 5 - Foshan / Guangzhou
The City of
Foshan has a long and interesting history. It is common to find art and
architecture dating back at least one thousand years. One example is
Foshan Ancestral Temple which was built during the Song Dynasty and
known even today for the quality of its porcelain. Nanfeng Kiln dates
back to the Ming Dynasty. Built into the side of a hill, this massive
ceramics oven is believed to represent a dragon. Return to Guangzhou and
stay overnight in Guangzhou Landsman Hotel or similar. In the evening
you will have the oppotunity to enjoy a cruise on the Zhujiang River.

Day 6 - Guangzhou / Panyu / Zhongshan / Zhuhai

A delightful day is spent visiting Baomo Garden in Panyu and then The Former Residence of Sun Yat-sen in Zhongshan. Sun Yat-sen is regarded as the father of modern China as he devoted himself to the overthrow of the feudal Qing Dynasty and foundation of a new democratic republic in China. Transferred to Zhuhai and check in Jumbo Zhuhai Hotel or similar where you will spend one night. (B/L/D)

Day 7 - Zhuhai / Shenzhen

Your journey begins today with a visit to the New Summer Palace. The 'old' Summer Palace in Beijing is well known around the world. Zhuhai's version of the Summer Palace was opened to the public in 1997 and aims to replicate the Beijing original. Although only one sixth of the size of the original one, the New Summer Palace still covers an impressive 1.5 kilometres. You will enjoy the Ming and Qing Dynasty gardens which are a highlight. Zhuhai City Museum is an impressive building designed in the style of the Ming Dynasty. Here you will find artefacts from throughout China. Jagged rocks of grotesque shapes feature Shijing Mountain. Drive to Shenzhen and check in Shenzhen Metropark Hotel or similar where you will spend two nights. (B/L/D)

Day 8 - Shenzhen
Your journey
begins today with a visit to Window of the World. Scenic spots there are
dividing in accordance with the Five Continents, forming a magnificent
world toghther with World Square, World Sculptures Garden, International
Street and Jurassic Park. China Folk Culture Village is a place where
you can get a taste of every one of China's ethnic minority culture.
With its 14 pavilions and 56 ethnic minorities featured, you can enjoy
miniature exhibits and a number of cultural shows. In the evening enjoy
the magnificent Chinese Costume Dancing Show 'Oriental Apparel'. (B/L/D)
Day 9 - Depart Shenzhen
Today you depart Shenzhen and China as your guide meets you and transfers you to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
