It couldn't be argued that <a href="http://www.visitcairns.com.au" target="_blank">Cairns</a> is Australia's adventure sport capital. Cairns has it all. From world class whitewater rafting to Australia's original Bungee, it's all available there.

The adventure sport enthusiast could choose a different rush for every day of the week. Here's a quick list of what Cairns has available.

•White water rafting and kayaking. With the Tully, Russell and Barron Rivers commonly rafted as well as lots of smaller creeks running in the rainy season, Cairns is a whitewater paradise. To make it even better the 2 main rivers are controlled release, which means they flow even during the dry season. For the extreme adventure sport enthusiast there is also  wilderness 3 day heli rafting possible on the Johnstone river.

•Skydiving - with the best drop zone in the Land. You also get some incredible views of the reef and islands as you jump out of a perfectly good aeroplane from the height of 14,000 feet. Skydiving courses are also available, so you can do it alone.

•With reliable trade winds and warm winter water, Cairns is the ultimate Kite Surfing destination, watch them any windy day at Yorkeys Knob.

•Scuba Diving not a rush anymore? Then how about something a bit different? On your Great Barrier Reef dive trip go out to Osprey Reef 200 km off Cairns for shark feeding and 50 metre visability. The fish are big, the coral is big and the dropoffs are huge.

•With Queenslands highest peak, as well as some amazing rainforests bush walkers and campers are not forgotten. Why not trek the Creb Track through the Daintree Rainforest. It's one of Australia's best walks. Don't forget to get permission though.

•As the home of Bungy Jumping in this country, Cairns has it all. A purpose built bungy tower in the foothills of the rainforest allows you to bungy jump from 150 feet. There is also para-bungee where you can leap from a parachute behind a speedboat. Also possible is the Mingin Swing.
