If you are looking for an easy holiday I can tell you that Palm Cove is the place.
As a Business owner and Mother of 2 small children – one aged 7 and one aged 2, not only are you time poor, but always in need of a break. The main advantages I look for is that I want somewhere that is not too far to fly and somewhere that you don’t necessarily need a car.
We have been going to Palm Cove for 6 years and the beauty of this destination is the short 3 hour flight, then a 20 minute drive from
Once settled in your apartment, all you have to worry about is walking down the main street and choosing which restaurant you are going to eat at.
All the restaurants are within an easy stroll down the beach and child friendly with childrens menu’s even the very adult restaurants like Nu Nu’s.
The pool at Peppers is perfect for young children, it has a sandy beach area and for the adults a swim up bar. If like myself you love to have a little shop whilst on holiday there are some great boutiques that I tend to purchase not only my swimwear but all my clothes for the next season.
If you are not a pool person and prefer to be at the beach, certain times of the year are better than others. We were there in July and it was the best time of the year by far, the beach is perfect, you can swim in the ocean and the weather was perfect every day for the entire 2 weeks. Always check with your TWK Consultant on the best time to travel.
This time in July we tried out being more of a local and had dinner a few nights at the local Surf club – this was great with the kids, as it is outdoor and lots of other children around to make your evening a little easier.
There are many positives with this destination and I think the main one is if you are travelling as a Family, you are not alone. There are families everywhere and this makes for a much more relaxing time when your children have other children to play with.
I always say as long as there is a swim up bar, clothes boutiques as well as lots for the kids to do, it makes for a successful holiday – Happy Kids, Happy Parents!
