So here’s the thing. For all the wonderful ways hotels compete for their star ratings (room size, quality of furnishings, guest amenities, restaurants) – there’s nothing that helps travellers identify hotels that treat their own staff and the environment with care.
Im currently working with a few conservation and worker groups to draft what those standards could look like.. but its tough going.
It'd be really cool if you could help out...
So im going to assume that your willing and offer a few things for you to provide feedback on.
1. What should the standards be? We are thinking fair worker conditions, waste management and energy conservation..
2. What should we call it? We are thinking of calling it 'The First Star - Ethical Hotels' (its a play on the whole star rating system)
Hope you can help put this together!
Cheers, Ben
